Our people

We’re a versatile team with a range of expertise, a pragmatic approach to performance, a healthy obsession with excellence and some slightly quirky out-of-hours pastimes.

Led by CEO Ian Nield and our dedicated board, each of our core services is steered by a specialist subject matter expert – check them out below. You can also invite any of them over for a cup of tea and a serious discussion about what you want to achieve.

Marvellous as these people are, we couldn’t get the job done without our dedicated customer services team – they don’t get out much but they love what they do and the impact that they have on providing the best possible service.

Finally, to ensure we can meet the growing needs of our customers, we also have a fine pool of freelance associates, each of them with a specialist skill set. So whatever your focus, we believe we have the knowledge and skills to help. Just give us a call at any time on +44 (0)1675 460997 or email iie@investorsinexcellence.org

IAN NIELD

“Passion, vision, action – all or nothing”

Before joining Investors in Excellence as CEO, Ian was responsible for the global multi-billion pound funds transfer business of LloydsTSB with a 250 strong team moving money across the world.

He is the driving force behind IiE’s sustained growth and has been described by one grateful CEO as “extremely irritating, because he never gives up.” Ian combines this tenacity with great listening skills, finely tuned commercial acumen and bags of knowledge gleaned from working with some of the world’s leading companies.

Outside of family life, Ian has two main passions: seeing things improve. And supporting Birmingham City. Nobody’s quite sure how the two fit together, but apparently he’s working on it…
